Clare is an easy-to-use, no-fuss cheque listing assistant. If you ever have to batch up groups of cheque
for presentation to a bank (or even just for your own filing/storage purposes), then Clare will save you
time and help prevent mistakes. Simply start a worksheet, swipe your cheque, optionally type in the
customer name and amount, and move on to the next cheque.
Clare can be configured with "fee bands",
which can be used to help you determine agent's fees, or payouts to customers (in cheque-cashing
businesses). Most banks insist on a maximum batch size (usually 50 or 100 cheques per batch) and
so you can configure Clare to limit the size of each worksheet to your preference.

Just keep swiping the cheques, keying in the details - Clare will stop you when you've filled a batch.
Then you save the batch (the sheets are kept on the hard disk for historical/archive reference)
and print it out.
The print-out clearly shows the cheque number, sort-code, account number, customer name (if you entered it)
and the amount. Optionally you can show the additional columns (%age charge etc). The report is
clearly labelled with your company name and the work-sheet reference (a combination of date
and batch-number).
It's perfectly suitable for passing on to the bank with your batch of cheques...
...no more hand-written lists (with mistakes)...
...no more ad-hoc Excel spreadsheets...
...just let Clare do it all for you!
Although it makes sense to use Clare with a cheque-reader, it can be used directly from the keyboard alone if
you prefer. Clare is designed to be used with keyboard-wedge type MICR readers, although we can help you to
configure Windows such that RS232 and USB readers can be used with Clare too.
We can recommend suitable readers (and dealers) for you, or alternatively we can deal with the reader
equipment for you and sell a "complete system" directly.
